Njerae's 'Anayefaa' Tells The Bitter-Sweet Story Of What Could Have Been

Have you ever been in a situation where you fell in love deeply  only to have your heart broken? Most of us have been there. In Njerae’s words "The strongest love will be the most painful heartbreak and in the spirit of trying again you run back to your strongest love only to get your heart broken and broken again. One of the reasons we have people in our lives who are anayefaa instead of anayekaa is because we don't allow ourselves to run back."

Njerae is a singer/songwriter from Nairobi, Kenya. She has hit singles such as “Pressure” and “Tuthi nawe" ft Charisma. One of my favorite things about Njerae is her ability to use music to story tell. She is able to take her listeners on a nostalgic journey and is one artist we should be on the lookout for.

Anayefaa is a song about the harsh reality of the present and the blissful moments from the past meeting. It's a story about love and the loss of it. Everything about this song gives me nostalgia. The lyrics are simple yet very impactful - her way with words is simply beautiful. The song is a mellow and sweet love song and her voice is magical. The Chorus is melodic and catchy, I've been singing it for two days straight. Njerae is one of my favorite songwriters. The video was shot by Cj pixels and KG Brian so you can expect perfection! Everything from the set design to the styling and makeup was in sync and fit perfectly into the theme. It is a very  beautiful video.

Don't forget to check out this new song and her other music. Like and share her work and don't forget to subscribe to her socials. She has a lot in store for us and I can't wait to see what she does in the future!
