On his latest offering, 2020, capespring. delivers reflective take on self-discovery and airs out concerns about the genuineness of the music industry. Recorded, produced, mixed & masterd by the young artist, capespring.’s continues to prove his potential.

We hear him introspectively grapple with life’s uncertainties as he raps “It’s harder to to think about the things I’ve been thinking bout/ been questioning my future mama I just want to make it out” but he seemingly finds resolution: “I was lost for a minute but now I’m found/got my feet on the ground but my head in the clouds.” In the same breath, he questions the authenticity of the rap game, asking “So if I rap about a beverage am I talented now?” and “The things that we ain’t got, that’s what we rapping about now?”

On his debut project, Duality, which dropped mid this year capespring. showcased his propensity for experimentation and this shines through on 2020. We see him play play around with auto-tune, and sprinkle jazz instrumentation throughout 90’s influenced hip-hop track which adds a sonic element of melancholy. His affinity for lo-fi however remains constant.
