"The Jam" Electrifies For A Second Time This Year At The Goethe Institut

 

The Goethe Institute’s latest installment of The Jam was nothing short of spectacular, providing a vibrant evening that once again celebrated Kenya’s diverse musical talent. The lineup boasted impressive performances from Liboi and Ochiko, complemented by electrifying DJ sets from Gatthoni.

Liboi took to the stage with a magnetic presence, captivating the audience with a blend of enchanting melodies and poignant lyrics. Her performance was a journey through various emotions, seamlessly weaving traditional influences with contemporary sounds. The crowd was particularly moved by her renditions of "Yule” and “African Child” which brought an evocative mix of nostalgia and modern-day relevance.

Ochiko followed with a soulful set. Known for his storytelling abilities and captivating vocals, Ochiko did not disappoint. His performance was not one to forget, with standout tracks like "Like You" and "Atoti" that had the audience dancing and chanting along. His lyrical prowess and stage charisma were undeniable, marking him as a standout act of the evening.

Renowned for her ability to blend genres and create an immersive soundscape, Gatthoni's sets that were interspersed between the live acts wer a masterclass in musical curation. She effortlessly transitioned between tracks, keeping the energy high and the crowd on their feet. Her selection was both eclectic and cohesive.
