Tanzanian singer-songwriter Tofa Jaxx introduces us to a different side of his artistry on his first release of the year, electro pop love song Umenikaa. His honey-like vocals effortlessly glide over up beat, 80’s groove tinged production as he describes an encounter with a special someone who subsequently became his fixation. However, realising that his love would never be reciprocated, he resolves to let go and put himself first.
This is just the first in a string of releases set to come from Tofa and I for one am excited for what else he has in store.
