Rwandese Hip Hop Star Bushali Release His Third Studio Album, '!B!HE B!7'

Rwandase Hip hop star Bushali released his third full length album !B!HE B!7. The album follows on from Bushali’s other successful albums- NYIRAMUBANDE" (Echoes), released in 2018 and KUGASIMA" (Place of hope) released in 2019. 

!B!HE B!7, that loosely translates to seven seasons, continues Bushali’s upward trajectory in the music world and is an ambitious project that seeks to introduce him to new music territories with outstanding collaborations with Senegal’s Daara J Family and Ghana’s Magnom. Bushali also features other leading Rwandese pop stars including Bruce Melodie and The Ben among other up and coming artists.   

Bushali’s emergence on the Rwandan music scene has opened the world to a new subgenre, Kinyatrap, that melds poetic tradition with unpredictable melodies and stirring beats, creating a distinctly Rwandan reimagination of trap music. He describes Kinyatrap as “Kinyarwanda hip-hop combined with some Trap melody.”

Bushali’s new album is a reflection in part of the artists day to day life. “Through !B!HE B!7 album I want to get rid of hatred, jealousy and selfishness and promote love for all human beings because I know that bad attitudes towards others cannot bring me freedom of mind.”

As he continues to tell the stories of his beloved city and seeks to explore new territories, Bushali has nothing but love for his fans who continue to support him.

“The Journey Continues! I will make them believe in me, because I do believe in them and I believe in myself”.
