Nigerian born, Nairobi raised artist D’iyi’s latest release, ‘Late Nights’ tackles loneliness through expanding on the afro-fusion sound explored on his previous singles. D’iyi’s ability to take heavy and melancholic themes and turn them into catchy, pop songs is what sets him apart. Over a bouncy, afro-beats inspired track, D’iyi expresses the various faces loneliness wears, ones that we can all relate to. He laments about the loneliness experienced in social settings like the club, the solitude of being misunderstood, and the misery of insomnia. 

While still being on the come up, D’iyi’s latest releases are testament to his potential and make him one to keep an eye on.
