Wendy Kay's "Days Go By" Tackles the Ups and Downs of Life

Afro-Urban singer/songwriter Wendy Kay is back with her first release of the year, “Days Go By” featuring rapper and producer, M. Rumbi. In anticipation of her upcoming project, the songstress offers us a snippet of what’s to come.

“Days Go By” is a sombre neo-soul track that tackles the internal struggles that we face when life throws us seemingly impossible situations. Kay repeats, “Are we alive or are we just living?” on the songs chorus, a relatable question both literally, as we face these apocalyptic times, and metaphorically as we each face our own internal battles. Kay paints the picture of her pain and inner-conflict through her soothing vocals and adept lyricism.

Over sixteen bars, M. Rumbi, who produces under the alias theNairobiNomad, answers Wendy. He seems offering promises of hope but still stuck in his own futile situation. He’s living loud, chasing his dreams but all of this is tinged with a hint of desperation.
