Jazmine Mzera is a Kenyan YouTuber and model. Having initially started modeling in 2016 walking local (Nairobi) fashion brands, notably Setutsi’s Episode 4 Pink Clouds, creative spaces are not foreign to her. Now putting her Youtube channel at the front seat, she aims to tackle various trending topics all through her lens, as well as showcase her lifestyle through her vlogs/blogs. Her newfound creative passion is just another testament that when you be-u, it’s beautiful.

WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO START A YOUTUBE CHANNEL?
I’ve always had an outgoing personality and i felt that I wasn’t able to express this to its fullest on other social media platforms but YouTube has enabled me to express myself properly.
HOW DO YOU HIGHLIGHT BEAUTY IN YOUR CONTENT?
Through experimenting different styles and techniques and not being afraid of going outside my comfort zone, basically trail and error.
YOU SPEND A LOT OF TIME IN THE UK, WHAT TAKES YOU THERE?
My studies as well as my mum relocating back to the UK.
WAHT DOES BLACK LIVE MATTER MEAN TO YOU?
Black lives matter is something that I’m very passionate about especially after my relocation to the UK and being more exposed to racism and micro-aggressions. It’s also about advocating for black lives constantly by supporting black businesses and embracing our culture not only when tragic incidents occur.
WHAT DOES BLM MEAN TO YOU IN EAST AFRICA?
Embracing our culture, advocating for black lives in terms of police brutality, poverty and uplifting black voices and creatives.

Burgundy has been my favourite so far.

Consistency is key.
